Summer solstice concerts

From Puccini to Verdi, the most beautiful opera arias, performed by the prodigious lyric soprano Inna Kalugina. She will be accompanied by soloists from the Paris Symphonic Orchestra gathered in chamber music training.

The Sunset Concerts are happy to announce The Summer Solstice Concerts.

The newborn offers three dates, three places, three concerts. The summer solstice concerts mark both the start of summer and the music festival for this year 2021.

Three concerts

Under the leadership of Cyril Diederich, the summer solstice concerts present you the great arias from operas with singer Inna Kalugina discovered by the artistic director. The young soprano is one of the greatest hopes for singing talent at the moment. The orchestra is made up of five of the best musicians from the Paris Opera orchestra and the national Radio-France orchestras with:

Christophe Guillot – soloist Opéra de Paris – solo violin

Fanny Coupé – soloist Orchester Philharmonique Radio France – solo viola

Elisabeth Pallas – first violin Opéra de Paris – 2nd soloist

Philippe Nadal – guest at the Paris Opera – solo cello

Héloïse Dély – guest at the Paris Opera – solo double bass

And as artistic director Cyril Diederich.

Three Locations:

Three concerts given in three villages of the Luberon Monts de Vaucluse, Oppède, Lourmarin and Gordes urban community

Open spaces chosen to be in contact with the public: the forecourt of the Notre-Dame Dalidon collegiate church in Oppède le Vieux, church square in Lourmarin and the church in Gordes. Symbolic places where acoustics accompany the performance.

Friday June 18 at 8:30 p.m.

Place de l’église St André / St Trophime in Lourmarin

 

Tuesday June 22 at 8 p.m. Saint Firmin Church in Gordes

Come, at dusk, hear and breathe the most beautiful lyrical arias in a magical setting offered by the collegiate church of Notre Dame de Dalidon in Oppède le Vieux

 

To get there, it is best to park in the Ste Cécile car park. Head towards the Place de la Croix then take the calades to reach the top of the old village.
